Something special happens when we gather together in real life, in a beautiful place, over amazing food with great people and share inspired conversation. In a world that can feel so divided these days, I’d like to offer us a way back to each other…over dinner.

The purpose is simple: To gather so that we may listen, learn and inspire one another through meaningful dialogue around a particular topic and/or set of meaningful questions... while we eat delicious food.

Hosted in the perfect atmosphere (my gorgeous loft style studio in Providence) and sharing a delicious meal from the incredibly talented Bites by Bre. In this intimate setting we’ll share in a themed conversation that brings us closer and deepens our connections.

About this Event

We’ve moved and couldn’t be more excited to share our beautiful new studio space and vision for what’s next.

It will be home to many of our own workshops, photo shoots, mastermind groups and events but more importantly yours as well AND it’s a space for us to gather in…together…in real life. This year we will host insightful conversations, opportunities to create, connect, learn and grow and the chance to come together to enjoy a shared meal as a community every now and then-plus a ton of other inspired endeavors. AND it will soon be available for you to rent for your workshops, photoshoots and event bookings as well. It’s a beautifully light-filled, loft style space with modern white brick, high ceilings, and concrete floors. Short version? I’m in love with this place and can’t wait to share it with you.

*Please note: This event is on the second floor and does NOT have an elevator. The studio is currently not wheelchair accessible

How To Find Us

From Elmwood Avenue, we are the second parking lot on the left.

From Dexter Street, we are the first parking lot on the right.

This lot (lot 1) is closest to the studio. If it is full, you are welcome to use the lot (lot 2) on Sprague Street for Long Live Beerworks.

There are two additional lots at 55 Cromwell street: one across from the Rooms & Works main entrance (lot 3) and the other at the far west end of the building (lot 4).

If you are in the parking lot closest to the space (lot 1), with your back to Sprague Street you will see a large walkway/courtyard to Long Live Beer Works. Our door is at the start of that courtyard. Look for the black door with four mailboxes on it where the middle mill building goes from a one floor building to a two-story. (see map)

WHAT:

Join me on an intimate Photo Walk in downtown Wickford, RI where we will be exploring and shooting our most familiar surroundings with fresh eyes. Often we pay little attention to what we see all of the time. We rarely stop and notice what is right in front of us, especially in our own backyard, yet so much is happening right around us. Beauty, texture, color, moments exist and come into view when we begin to look at them (and ourselves) through a new lens. Come see what you never knew was there. Your camera and I will be your guides.

WHERE:

We will meet out in front of The Beach Rose Cafe on Brown Street in Wickford. We will be staying within walking distance of the the downtown Wickford area. Please dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes because will be outside the entire time. 

WHO CAN ATTEND:

Anyone with a DSLR or an iphone. No experience is necessary.

do you love instagram? would you love to learn how to make artful vignettes and stunning stylish images like those you see on instagram and popular lifestyle bogs? i am obsessed with Instagram.  i love the serenity and joy i feel both when i look at still life photography and when i create beautiful still life's to photograph for clients and for myself.  the endless visual eye candy and the stunning simplicity of so many of the shared images inspires me beyond words.

WHAT:

join me and my dear friend and stylist extraordinaire sheri silva in the studio for this very hands on workshop where we will be demonstrating and teaching the art of creating and shooting organic still life's and natural objects will be the foundation of our playground. we will discuss item selection, aesthetic, color combinations,  as well as quality of light, composition, depth of field and a variety of shooting techniques.

WHO:

no experience is necessary. please bring your iphone or dslr and a curious, playful attitude

HOW:

please register below. we ask that you bring at least 5 items that you consider "organic" whatever that means to you: from nature, in shape and form, color or whatever.

 this hands on workshop includes:

• covering the basics: what you need to create beautiful images 
• technical know how: understanding your camera and getting off automatic
• looking for light: learn to find good natural light and use it
• composition: what works and why
• your style: finding your voice
• q & a session: to cover all of your specific questions
• plenty of time to go out shooting together and put your new skills to the test

Join me on an intimate Photo Walk where I’ll demonstrate Portrait techniques shooting in available (natural) light with all of you as my subjects. Then it will be your turn! We will then take turns photographing one another to gain deeper understanding of creative composition, finding good light, choosing locations and how to cultivate true human connection to make your portraits come alive.  

WHERE:

When you register, I’ll e-mail you our meet up location. We’ll be somewhere in South County, Rhode Island but weather and light will dictate location..

WHO:

Anyone with a DSLR and a moderate understanding of camera functions (aperture/iso/shutter speed) You don’t have to be a full-time/professional photographer, but you DO need to have a camera and a bit of knowhow...how much is debatable!

An updated headshot is a great way to help people get a sense of who you are and to communicate that you are capable, professional, smart and someone they would want to work with. Ideally, a headshot should convey your personality not just show people what you look like. What is your current headshot saying about you? Are you proud to hand clients your business card and send them to your website or social media outlets? Come see what a great headshot can do for you.

ASPIRE Special: $99 for 2 professional headshots. 

All headshot packages must be booked and purchased no later than 5 pm Wednesday May 27th

Photos will be shot on location at the Crowne Plaza from 9-12 Thursday May 28th. All images will be delivered digitally within 10 days.

Living a beautiful life requires the time to create it yet most us don't carve out the space to really identify what we want. Are there parts of your life you would like to improve? Things you would like to change? A great want to get clear about your desires is to create a visual roadmap of the life you really want and a vision board is a wonderful way to do just that. Come join me to begin shifting your path in the right direction.

• vision board materials and magazines (feel free to bring your own)
• a creative and supportive tribe to vision with

Most of us are super busy. We are juggling work, family life, kid's activities, friendships and social obligations. I know for myself that can mean that time for self care and pursuing my personal growth can take a back seat. I can "wake up" months later and realize I haven't given that part of my life it's due attention.  

Truth: Vision boards only work if you actually make them and use them.  I want to help you create the life of your dreams so for those of you who really intended to keep working on your board at home but haven't quite made the time this is for you. Perhaps you have specific questions or intentions you are trying to work on that may require it's own board-like buying a new home or calling in a new relationship. 

I am opening my home for evening of open creative time to work on your boards, ask questions, hang with a lovely tribe of like minded women and focus on what you really want in your life. This is for folks who are currently working on a board, have attended my workshop or are otherwise wise to their own vision boarding practice. All materials will be provided. Please bring your current board.
