You know you need to update your head shot but you want something a bit more interesting, cooler or more in line with who you are then some traditional head shots offer. I get it. Many of my clients are in the same boat, myself included when I need them recently.
I see so many people using old, outdated shots of themselves, selfies and/or iPhone pics from events or vacations that are often failed attempts at cropping themselves out of an otherwise decent photo. The LAST thing you want your clients to assume about you is that you may not take your business seriously or that you may only put forth as little effort on their behalf as you did in presenting yourself and that they can expect as much from working with you based off of your head shot.
These days even the word head shot is almost inaccurate when referring to what creatives, entrepreneurs, coaches, authors etc. need. Somewhere between a portrait and a headshot lives an image of you that beautifully conveys how talented, capable, smart and professional you are but in a way that tells us that you are also approachable, easy to work with, interesting and creative-or appreciate creativity at the very least. It's got to give your clients the sense that they know you, that they can trust you and make them feel like you would be a good fit for them
I got you. I really do. You need fresh, fun but not hokey, more interesting…how about ELEVATED images of yourself? I want prospective clients/audience to be able what it would feel like to work with you just from seeing your photo. Why not capture that in a space that is as creative as you are? In this digital landscape, image is everything and it's critical that you put your best face forward and show the world how wonderful you are at what you do.
